Publicly Traded REITs vs. Non-Traded REITs: What’s the Difference?

Edward Fernandez, president and CEO at 1031 Crowdfunding, contributes his thoughts on the pros and cons of traded and non-traded REITs in a byline for Kiplinger. “The recent downturn in the equity market and accompanying decline of publicly traded REITs have opened the door for non-traded REITs to showcase their investment power. Unlike publicly traded REITs, which are susceptible to market whims and Federal Reserve actions, non-traded REITs can be more insulated from stock market volatility,” explains Fernandez.
