Edward E. Fernandez

President / CEO

Mr. Fernandez is our Chief Executive Officer and founder of DNS Capital, LLC, the sole manager of our company. Prior to founding the Company, he has been Senior Vice President of Healthcare Real Estate Group in Irvine, California. Since January 2001, Mr. Fernandez has been responsible for researching and compiling accurately verifiable documentation crossed various industries including assembling compelling content for marketing materials related to the purchase and acquisition of various real estate holdings.

Mr. Fernandez has over 20 years of inside and outside sales experience and is personally involved in the raising of $407 million of equity from individual and institutional investors through private and public real estate offerings. He hired and trained a national internal wholesaler and external wholesaler sales force. Mr. Fernandez is highly skilled in the simplification of highly complex strategies and sophisticated investments. He is results oriented, able to balance multiple responsibilities and consistently delivers results on time.

Mr. Fernandez holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 24, and 63 licenses.

Wade Curtis, MBA

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Curtis began his career researching dark matter phenomenon in the University of California, Irvine's Department of Physics and Astronomy. His research collaborations used observation data from the Keck Telescope and a Monte Carlo Markov chain technique to explore the mass distributions of distant galaxies. Most recently, Mr. Curtis was a Senior Capital Markets Analyst with Healthcare Real Estate Group in Irvine, California. In this role Mr. Curtis worked directly with the CEO and 3rd party law firms to develop corporate strategies for taking private equity funds through the investment banking cycle to an IPO for public trading. This experience developed excellent proficiencies with securities offerings, capital and corporate structuring, detailed balance sheet & income statement prediction modeling, and business plan development from initial model concepts through feasibility studies, law firm feedback, investment banking review processes, and board of director's approval. Additionally Mr. Curtis has extensive experience in the healthcare sector with Healthcare Real Estate Group where he was involved in EB-5 international fund raising, 1031 exchanges, healthcare real estate construction, acquisition underwriting, executive report creation, and property management metrics.

Mr. Curtis has previous lending experience with US Bank, and through his consulting firm, has advised on a wide range of entrepreneurial projects in the technology space. Due to Mr. Curtis' extensive mathematical back ground and his proficiencies in multiple programing & data base query languages, he has been instrumental in the development of mission critical algorithms for his consulting clientele. His projects include big data analytics, content prediction algorithms, executive intelligence & report development, and organic search engine optimization techniques. In his free time, Mr. Curtis is a science fiction author and strategy game developer.

Mr. Curtis earned a Masters of Business Administration from Biola University's Crowell School of Business.

Thomas P. Roussel

Senior Vice President, Marketing

Mr. Roussel is our Senior Vice President of Marketing, overseeing all marketing initiatives and materials for 1031 Crowdfunding. Prior to joining the Company, he was Marketing Manager for Healthcare Real Estate Group, supporting a publicly registered, non-traded REIT as well as other real estate investment funds and affiliate companies. In this position, he worked closely with Mr. Fernandez in the creation of sales collateral and presentation materials for various real estate investment products. Mr. Roussel also supported the REIT acquisitions team in assembling investment committee packages to present to the independent board of directors for assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing facility acquisitions.

Mr. Roussel has previous real estate experience working for the advisor to two publicly registered, non-traded REITs. Here he worked with the real estate team participating in acquisitions, asset management and property management roles for their two multi-tenant industrial portfolios. Mr. Roussel's marketing background in the securities space, combined with his real estate experience, gives him a unique understanding of this highly regulated industry.

Mr. Roussel earned a B.A. degree in Marketing from Vanguard University of Southern California.

Peter A. Elwell, CFA

President, Senior Housing

Mr. Elwell currently serves as our President, Senior Housing, leading the sourcing, acquisition and asset management of real estate. For over 20 years, Mr. Elwell has held various financial executive leadership and finance positions with companies of various sizes and in various industries. Prior to joining the Company, he served as the Chief Investment Officer of a publicly registered, non-traded healthcare REIT., where he purchased and managed senior housing real estate.

Mr. Elwell has previous experience serving in several financial management related functions at PRIMEDIA, INC. a company managed by KKR focused on media related assets. At PRIMEDIA, he worked on the company's mergers and acquisitions team, served as the CFO of the Company's Automotive Digital business and financially integrated the acquisition of a $100 million online business. He began his career as an auditor with The Walt Disney Company and KPMG LLP.

Mr. Elwell earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Salem State University in Salem, Massachusetts. Peter is a Certified Public Accountant (Inactive) licensed in the state of California.

Miles Carrington

Senior Vice President, Operations

Mr. Carrington is our Senior Vice President of Operations. Prior to 1031 Crowdfunding, he has been Vice President of Healthcare Real Estate Group in Irvine, California. Since January 2006, Mr. Carrington has been responsible for wholesaling, account management, business development, sales management, product, strategic marketing, of various real estate holdings.

Mr. Carrington has a rich background in inside and outside sales experience and specializes in the fractional real estate investment, 1031 exchange and DST property marketplace. He is driven by his passion for providing superior client service, identifying clients' needs, goals and objectives.

Mr. Carrington holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Kevin Olds

Marketing Manager

Mr. Olds is our Marketing Manager, responsible for the design, production, and implementation of all marketing materials for 1031 Crowdfunding.

He brings a range of skills to 1031 Crowdfunding's marketing portfolio from web design, photography, video production, and drone pilot expertise. Prior to joining the team, Mr. Olds had over five years of marketing experience in the real estate, entertainment, and hospitality industries.

Mr. Olds earned a B.A. degree in Media from Indiana University Bloomington.

Shannon Curtis

Human Resources Manager

Ms. Curtis is the HR Manager for 1031 Crowdfunding. With this role, she ensures that the office is running smoothly by managing daily administrative responsibilities. She also provides support and expertise to manage employee relations.

When Ms. Curtis joined our company, she brought in a range of skills that she had gained from working in sectors ranging from hospitality to education. Her time working in the hotel sector in New Zealand brought in diverse skills and viewpoints that have contributed tremendously to our company.

Ms. Curtis received her Bachelor of International Hospitality Management with a double major in Human Resources and Event Management from Auckland University of Technology, Auckland, New Zealand.

Darian E. Fernandez

Sales Associate

Mr. Fernandez is currently training as a Sales Associate.

Before joining our company, Mr. Fernandez attended Southern Utah University, where he studied Business and Finance while playing football in their Division 1 program.

Mr. Fernandez is currently studying for his FINRA Series 7 exam.

John Paul "JP" Ledesma

Sales Associate

John Paul "J.P." Ledesma came to 1031 CrowdFunding with a real estate background and has been a California Real Estate Broker and a GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) since 2009. His very first real estate listing was a NNN land lease, and he has since completed retail, industrial and residential transactions.

His understanding of land use and policy is largely derived from having been a member of the Mission Viejo City Council for 12 years, where he served as the Council's youngest Mayor, and from having been a Director of the El Toro Reuse Planning Authority (the Redevelopment Agency of the former Marine Corps Air Station El Toro, closed in 1999).

Selling and leasing investment properties led him to find out about Delaware Statutory Trusts (DSTs). J.P. enjoys formulating advantageous tax strategies that are optimal solutions for investors that wish to deploy 1031 exchange proceeds, IRA funds, or cash to purchase securitized real estate.

While his undergraduate degree is in a technical field, J.P. Ledesma has completed classes in real estate finance and passed the Level I Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam. He holds the series 7 and 66 securities licenses.

Jonathan Garcia

Digital Marketing Manager

Mr. Garcia is our Digital Marketing Manager, responsible for the strategy, implementation, and management of all digital marketing efforts for 1031 Crowdfunding.

He brings a range of expertise to 1031 Crowdfunding's marketing portfolio from search engine marketing, social media advertising, and search engine optimization. Prior to joining the team, Mr. Garcia had over three years of digital marketing experience in the real estate, healthcare, and eCommerce industries.

Mr. Garcia earned a B.A. degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from California State University, Fullerton.

Keeley Schiappa

Closing Specialist

Ms. Schiappa works in Investor Relations as a Closing Specialist, processing and facilitating all closings for 1031 Crowdfunding. Ms. Schiappa ensures that each client is given the proper attention and care required for a successful closing experience.

Ms. Schiappa comes from a Real Estate background, being the third generation involved with her family's Development Company. With 7 years of Administration and Human Resources experience, she came to 1031 with prior knowledge of the Real Estate industry, as well as administrative and communication skills that help ensure a smooth closing process for every 1031 Crowdfunding client. Prior to joining the company, she worked as a Public Relations professional at a media consulting firm where she helped navigate the needs of the clients, and created custom campaigns to suit their goals.

Ms. Schiappa graduated with a B.A. in Public Relations from Biola University. Her studies had an emphasis in nonprofit organizations.

Jacob Paine

Junior Analyst

Mr. Paine serves as a Financial Analyst for 1031 Crowdfunding’s Commercial Real Estate and Accounting Teams.

His skills in data analytics and numeric analysis make him a versatile component in the company’s Due Diligence, Asset Management, Underwriting, and Accounting functions. He brings excellence, determination and teamwork to all areas of his work.

He holds a B.S. degree in Mathematics from the University of California at Irvine. In his free time, you can find Mr. Paine on the golf course or watching the latest movies.

Josh VandeSteeg

Sales Associate

Mr. VandeSteeg serves as a Sales Associate here at 1031 Crowdfunding. He is involved in day-to-day sales communication and has a mission to provide top customer service.

Previous to joining 1031 Crowdfunding, Mr. VandeSteeg has a range of experience in the hospitality industry, identifying and meeting customer needs. He is passionate about people and providing creative solutions.

Mr. VandeSteeg holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Brandon VandeSteeg

Sales Associate

Mr. VandeSteeg serves as a Sales Associate here at 1031 Crowdfunding.

Before joining 1031 Crowdfunding, Mr. VandeSteeg was the youngest lifeguard ever accepted in the Orange County Lifeguard Association. He holds the highest honor of the Life Saving Award. He has a driven nature combined with the love of a challenge making him a great fit with the 1031 Crowdfunding team.

Brian Coughlin

Sales Associate

Mr. Coughlin serves as a Sales Associate here at 1031 Crowdfunding.

Before joining 1031 Crowdfunding, Mr. Coughlin worked in various roles in the dental industry, most recently distributing intraoral scanners, presenting for doctors across Orange County. Mr. Coughlin's solution-oriented approach and his excellent communication skills naturally make him a great fit with the 1031 Crowdfunding team.

Mr. Coughlin holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Megan Perera

Investor Relations Assistant

Ms. Perera serves as our Investor Relations Assistant, processing and facilitating all closings for 1031 Crowdfunding. Ms. Perera thrives on customer communication.

Before joining 1031 Crowdfunding, Ms. Perera worked in the education sector in private schooling. She held various roles from managing payroll, scheduling, and event planning, providing a foundation for her attention to detail and communication skills. Her background in classroom management and relationship building makes her a vital asset to the Investor Relations team. She is a natural people person and enjoys going above and beyond to help in the investment process.

Ms. Perera is currently studying Biblical Studies and Communications at Liberty University. In her free time, you can find Megan reading a good book and spending time with friends and family.

Nylah Fernandez

Apprentice

Ms. Fernandez is currently working as an apprentice in the accounting department. She handles various administrative tasks while learning the ins and outs of our business.

Ms. Fernandez is currently studying at Saddleback College with a focus on Business and Finance. She plans to pursue an education in Law.

Ruth Fernandez

Vice President

Mrs. Fernandez currently serves as our Vice President, overseeing the Human Resources and Office Management departments. She brings a spirit of excellence to 1031 Crowdfunding and is the foundation behind our efficient processes and procedures.

Prior to joining 1031 Crowdfunding, Mrs. Fernandez held management and accounting positions in the Law, Title, and Import-Export industries. She then founded a nationwide Notary service company employing over 400 notaries and 120 contract attorneys.

Mrs. Fernandez’s experience in these various industries provided her a strong foundation in managing people and structures.

Luke Baguio

Junior Accountant

Mr. Baguio serves as the Junior Accountant for 1031 Crowdfunding’s Accounting Team.

Prior to joining the company, he held a leadership position at UCI, developing a diverse skillset that makes him an adaptable and flexible team member. With his knowledge of accounting practices and critical thinking skills in a collaborative environment, he applies his abilities with precision and accuracy in every facet of his tasks and projects. His passion for working with numeric analysis and finance inspires him to further his career in accounting.

Mr. Baguio holds a B.S. degree in Economics from the University of California, Irvine. In his free time, you can find Luke working on his oil paintings or spending time with his friends.

Stevie Vladic

Receptionist

Ms. Vladic serves as our Receptionist, responsible for managing the phones, completing various administrative tasks, and greeting guests.

While not at 1031 Crowdfunding, she teaches and manages a team of instructors at CycleBar Premium Indoor Cycling. She is a true people person and loves helping and seeing others reach their goals.

Ms. Vladic holds a B.S. degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Texas Christian University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, eating good food, and watching movies at home.
