A central pillar in any successful company is the experience of its management team and network of corporate partnerships. With this philosophy in mind, Edward Fernandez set out to found 1031 CrowdFunding, LLC with Alfred Pizzurro, Marcus Kurschat, William Erickson and Tim Barrett with 125 years of combined experience in the Securities and Real Estate Industries. With over $2 Billion in Real Estate transactions and over 65 years in the Real Estate industry, the management team of 1031 CrowdFunding is equipped to truly excel the in the variety of unique situation that a Real Estate crowd funding platform is likely to encounter.

With over $407 Million in securities sold over a combined 60 year career in the Securities Industry, the team also has extensive experience with a variety of investment structures. Edward Eric Fernandez

Founder / CEO

Mr. Fernandez is our Chief Executive Officer and founder of DNS Capital, LLC, the sole manager of our company. Prior to founding the Company, he has been Senior Vice President of Healthcare Real Estate Group in Irvine, California. Since January 2001, Mr. Fernandez has been responsible for researching and compiling accurately verifiable documentation crossed various industries including assembling compelling content for marketing materials related to the purchase and acquisition of various real estate holdings.

Mr. Fernandez has over 20 years of inside and outside sales experience and is personally involved in the raising of $407 million of equity from individual and institutional investors through private and public real estate offerings. He hired and trained a national internal wholesaler and external wholesaler sales force. Mr. Fernandez is highly skilled in the simplification of highly complex strategies and sophisticated investments. He is results oriented, able to balance multiple responsibilities and consistently delivers results on time.

Mr. Fernandez holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 24, and 63 licenses.

Alfred J. Pizzurro

Co-founder / President

Alfred Pizzurro is a co-founding member of the Company and will be the CEO of 1031 Crowdfunding's broker-dealer subsidiary upon its acquisition or creation, running the day-to-day activities of the broker-dealer. Previously to co-founding the company, Mr. Pizzurro was responsible for building a distribution channel through the independent broker dealer network. He helped create a national sales group through independent broker dealer's channel that raised $407,000,000 of equity for various Real Estate acquisitions through private and public offerings. He personally negotiated sponsor-selling agreements with over 50 broker dealers for the independent broker dealer channel signing due diligence, and selling agreements that raised $160,600,000 and $77,425,000 in two public non-traded Healthcare REITS. Mr. Pizzurro has been in the securities industry for over 20 years.

Mr. Pizzurro has a distinguished career as a United States Marine Corps pilot receiving the US Navy Achievement Medal in 1986. Mr. Pizzurro obtained his Bachelor of Science in communication and media studies from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 1978. Mr. Pizzurro is proficient in CRM systems and sales revenue cycles and has been the director of international business development for the Joseph Company where he managed business development relationships in all countries that this company had licenses. He created new products for military use that was successfully tested in the field and was instrumental in creating new product for NASA.

Mr. Pizzurro holds FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.

William R. Erickson

Chief Investment Officer

William R. Erickson is the Company's Chief Investment Officer. He will play a vital role in establishing the processes on evaluating all real estate assets for consideration on the 1031 Crowdfunding platform. Mr. Erickson is the Founding Partner and Managing Principal of Viking Capital LLC., a real estate investment banking firm in Southern California responsible for raising debt and equity for acquisition, disposition, recapitalization and development for commercial real estate assets and portfolios of assets. William brings with him approximately 35 years of extensive business practice with two Fortune 250 companies, principal of a Top 20 Electronics Firm, real estate acquisitions, finance, development and joint venture equity investment experience. At Viking Capital, William has been involved in nearly $1 billion of commercial real estate investments involving a variety of product types, geography and investment structures on behalf of numerous clients.

Prior to joining Viking Capital, William was Co-Founder of Craig Capital Corporation, a Real Estate Investment Banking Firm primarily responsible for work with pension funds, institutional investors and lenders for joint venture equity, financial restructuring, junior and senior debt placement on a variety of product type and investment vehicles throughout the U.S. In that position, William was involved in approximately $650 million of transactions involving a variety of clients across the U.S. ranging from acquisitions, ground-up developments, equity recapitalizations and dispositions.

William holds a B.S. from the College of Business Administration from the Bowling Green University. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of California, Member of BIA of Southern California, Board Member, Eagle Ridge Camps LLC, Advisory Board Member, Torrey Honors Institute, Biola University, Barnabas Group, Orange County, Graduate – The Master's Program – 2006. Mr. Erickson holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Wade B. Curtis

Co-Founder / Principal Analyst

Mr. Curtis began his career researching dark matter phenomenon in the University of California, Irvine's Department of Physics and Astronomy. His research collaborations used observation data from the Keck Telescope and a Monte Carlo Markov chain technique to explore the mass distributions of distant galaxies. Most recently, Mr. Curtis was a Senior Capital Markets analyst with Healthcare Real Estate Group in Irvine, California. In this role Mr. Curtis worked directly with the CEO and 3rd party law firms to develop corporate strategies for taking private equity funds through the investment banking cycle to an IPO for public trading. This experience developed excellent proficiencies with securities offerings, capital and corporate structuring, detailed balance sheet & income statement prediction modeling, and business plan development from initial model concepts through feasibility studies, law firm feedback, investment banking review processes, and board of director's approval. Additionally Mr. Curtis has extensive experience in the healthcare sector with Healthcare Real Estate Group where he was involved in EB-5 international fund raising, 1031 exchanges, healthcare real estate construction, acquisition underwriting, executive report creation, and property management metrics.

Mr. Curtis has previous lending experience with US Bank, and through his consulting firm, has advised on a wide range of entrepreneurial projects in the technology space. Due to Mr. Curtis' extensive mathematical back ground and his proficiencies in multiple programing & data base query languages, he has been instrumental in the development of mission critical algorithms for his consulting clientele. His projects include big data analytics, content prediction algorithms, executive intelligence & report development, and organic search engine optimization techniques. In his free time, Mr. Curtis is a science fiction author and strategy game developer.

Mr. Curtis is currently an MBA candidate at Biola University's Crowell School of Business.

Tom Roussel

Marketing Manager

Mr. Roussel is our Marketing Manager, overseeing all marketing initiatives and materials for 1031 Crowdfunding. Prior to joining the company, he was Marketing Manager for Healthcare Real Estate Group, supporting a publicly registered, non-traded REIT as well as other real estate investment funds and affiliate companies. In this position, he worked closely with Mr. Fernandez in the creation of sales collateral and presentation materials for various real estate investment products. Mr. Roussel also supported the REIT acquisitions team in assembling investment committee packages to present to the independent board of directors for assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing facility acquisitions.

Mr. Roussel has previous real estate experience working for the advisor to two publicly registered, non-traded REITs. Here he worked with the real estate team participating in acquisitions, asset management and property management roles for their two multi-tenant industrial portfolios. Mr. Roussel's marketing background in the securities space, combined with his real estate experience, gives him a unique understanding of this highly regulated industry.

Mr. Roussel earned a B.A. degree in Marketing from Vanguard University of Southern California.

Peter A. Elwell

President of Senior Housing

Mr. Elwell currently serves as the President of Senior Housing, leading the sourcing, acquisition and asset management of senior housing real estate. For over 20 years, Mr. Elwell has held various financial executive leadership and finance positions with companies of various sizes and in various industries. Prior to joining the Company, he served as the Chief Investment Officer of a publicly registered, non-traded healthcare REIT., where he purchased and managed senior housing real estate.

Mr. Elwell has previous experience serving in several financial management related functions at PRIMEDIA, INC. a company managed by KKR focused on media related assets. At PRIMEDIA, he worked on the company’s mergers and acquisitions team, served as the CFO of the Company’s Automotive Digital business and financially integrated the acquisition of a $100 million online business. He began his career as an auditor with The Walt Disney Company and KPMG LLP.

Mr. Elwell earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Salem State University in Salem, Massachusetts. Peter is a Certified Public Accountant (Inactive) licensed in the state of California.
